Chef Curtis Stone will be the celebrity chef at
this year’s Prince Edward Island International Shellfish Festival.
The four-day festival, which
begins on Sept. 16 to 18, will be packed with culinary demos, oyster shucking and chowder competitions, live
music and celebrity chefs. Historic Charlottetown Waterfront.
Stone, who hails from Australia,
is best known for his popular cooking show, Take Home
Chef. Not a stranger to TV, he was a featured chef on the
reality show, The Biggest Loser. On top of that, he is a globally successful author.
Now, don’t be “shellfish.”
There’s plenty of him to go around. In fact, there will be several ways to meet Stone. One way is the
Shellfish Feast & Folic Dinner on Sept. 15. where ticket holders will enjoy a four-course meal catered by
the Culinary Institute of Canada and the opportunity to meet Stone. The
evening will also feature a P.E.I. shellfish and agriculture product cooking demonstration with the acclaimed
chef.
On Sept. 16, there will be two
cooking demos with Stone. Each session will require a separate ticket and will include general admission to a
culinary demo by the chef and a spotlight conversation. Alternatively, VIP tickets will be also be available
for each demo session and will include premium seating and access to a meet and greet.
