The Drake Hotel is a classy combination of old school glamour and new age funkiness.
Having re-opened in 2004 with a brand new attitude and look, the Drake has become a top spot to browse
contemporary art displays and watch performances from an array of indie, eclectic artists. It also stands out
for having a year-round rooftop patio known as the Sky Yard. For a memorable night, host an event or meeting
in the Drake Hotel’s intimate and luxurious Room 222.
Drake boasts 19 sumptuous hotel rooms, ranging from “crash pads” to suites, that marry classic furniture and
room finishes with modern comforts. In 2007, Drake’s Lounge and Dining Room were redecorated to reflect the
grandeur and elegance of the 1940s. Leather booths and custom chandeliers add a regal charm to both lounge
and dining area.
A sense of sophistication yet simplicity pervades the array of dishes on the dinner menu. Chef Anthony Rose
says the Drake offers “comfort food that is simple and familiar, with a little twist on it.” Polish off a
plate of Miami Ribs or order the Smoked NB Sturgeon, which is served with Red Fife pancakes and caviar. Fish
fiends can enjoy oysters and sushi, available on the regular menu or at the Raw Bar.
For a casual get-together visit the Corner Café where you can grab a bite for breakfast or sit down for a
relaxed brunch on the weekend. Dinner can also be enjoyed when the café transforms at night into a
bistro.
Sip on drinks, see a concert, and spend the night.
Whatever you choose, Drake beckons you to join the fun.•
